About 4 months ago, recovering from taking part 1 of the optometry boards, I decided to start dabbling in acrylic painting which led me into dabbling into watercolor painting. All the pretty colors. Must have been a bad 99 cent store watercolor palette I had when I was a kid because I always thought watercolors were unpigmented, dull and weak... but oh how wrong I was when I bought some Winsor & Newton Cotman watercolors.... so pigmented, strong, bold, and the effects I can make with the water!!! I also started a weekly art project where I do a piece of artwork of any media once a week on my personal facebook page and have gotten great feedback. So once in awhile, I will share some of my colorful creations here in dA and have an avenue to use the print shop function on my favorite prints until I decide I have enough to re-start an etsy shop or something on my own.

So a few weeks back, I found an old sketchbook that I had purchased while I was in London. I had gone with my roommate to an art shop because my roommate needed a sketchbook for her architecture class, I remember it as a quaint little art supply store as you would imagine an old English bookshop to be, I can never resist in any art store, so I picked up a simple A4 sized black paperback sketchbook simply bound by staples with some thick slightly textured paper inside. It's small, about 20 sheets in it total... (I hate drawing on both sides of the paper) I intend to fill as much of its pages before I start optometry school in 6 months... so you'll be pencil sketches from me as well as photo manips. Now I need more ideas on what to draw...

So it seems every few years, I come and go from this site... so now that I've graduated college and I have some time before I start optometry school. I figured I will enjoy myself and spend some time with art. This time, I think I will just focus mostly on photo manipulation and working on my photoshop skills since that has always been my main passion/interest. Stay tuned for my works... hopefully I will be able to produce some amazing stuff...

Finally got my etsy shop after spending a good month deciding what to name it other than this username I use. So check it out, has a few things, will be adding more to it later on.

Back home in NY... going to work on jewelry making this summer among other things...

Everything feels a little weird after being away from home for 4 months especially being away in a different country. My house felt different, my room looked different, now I have to remind myself about tipping and that when I see the price of something in a store, it's not the final price and I still have to pay tax. Everything just feels different, I'll get used to it again.
